Explanation of Titles:
MACH2: Master Agility Champion - Twice
VCD1: Requires the dog to earn each of the following titles - a Companion Dog (CD) obedience title, a Tracking Dog (TD) title (following the path of a stranger by scent through a wooded/prairie type area and collect items dropped by the stranger), and an Agility title.
RA: Rally Advanced obedience title, requires completing an off-leash course consisting of obedience skills/obstacles; also requires the Rally Novice (RN) on-leash title to be completed.
XF: Excellent FAST agility title, requires the dog to complete a course including a section in which the dog must work at a greater distance from the handler.
JH: Junior Hunter title, requires the dog to find and point birds while hunting off-leash with another dog, the dog must be comfortable with the sound of gunfire.
V: Versatility title awarded by the German Wirehaired Pointer Club of America. Requires the dog to earn titles in multiple competitive venues.
CGC: Canine Good Citizen title awarded to dogs proving they have sufficient training to be polite with people and dogs and can complete obedience tasks under distraction. (See our class descriptions for more information on the CGC title requirements)
NJ-R: Novice Dock Diving title.
MXG: Master Excellent Gold agility title, requires 75 qualifying scores on a standard course at the Master level.
MJC: Master Jumpers Century agility title, requires 100 qualifying scores on a jumpers with weaves course at the Master level.
RATI: Barn Hunting title showing that the dog has the instinct to hunt rats.
RATN: Barn Hunting title requiring the dog to find a rat in a PVC tube hidden amidst straw bales, and distinguish the tube containing the rat from one containing rat bedding and an empty tube. The dog has 2 minutes in which to complete the task. The title requires 3 successful outings.
